Carolyn Verdi Boutique August 9, 2010

Filed under: Clients — Jessica Scott @ 10:11 PM

Carolyn Verdi has been in the party, wedding, and event planning industry for over 20 years.  She offers such amazing attention to detail, as well as a personal touch to everything she does.  Carolyn is now a client of mine.  The Carolyn Verdi Boutique is located on Pine Street (918) in conjunction with The Sample Rack.  I started working with Carolyn last month assisting her with Social Networking; Inside Events; and soon-to-happen Outside Events.

As we move along in our process of working together, I can’t help but notice how many people Carolyn knows in this great city of ours.  She in incredibly connected to many professionals who are also in the industry.  But what I love most about Carolyn is that she loves connecting all of the people she knows – which absolutely makes Carolyn an excellent business owner.

If you are seeking a party favor, basket of goodies for a dear client, a newborn baby gift, great jewelry, or a party dress, then I strongly suggest you visit Carolyn Verdi Boutique ASAP!

Below are some photos from the last trunk show we hosted at the store.  Stay tuned for more of Carolyn’s shows!

DiningOut Magazine and Our ModestE’ Cover Party at the Water Works, June 6, 2010 June 14, 2010

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 9:24 PM
Our Agency was hired by DiningOut Mag to directly coordinate a very large, upscale event at the Water Works.  We directly collaborated with Our ModestE’ Boutique to bring this event to a wonderful group of guests.

This event came about when Water Works was featured on the cover of DiningOut Magazine (hence the word “cover” in the event title).  Our ModestE’ joined forces with our event since they were looking to spread the good word about their business after their launch party at another location months prior lost power during the event itself.  So we came together and brought about this AWESOME AWESOME event with the goal of raising awareness and funds for St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, as well as Philadelphia’s own 76er Samuel Dalembert Foundation for Haiti.  After tragedy struck a young female the week prior in Northern Liberties, we also donated the money collected at the door in memory of Sabina Rose to her family in hopes that her murderer will be found and brought to justice.

This event brought the best of the best out on a beautiful Sunday evening on the water.  There were local celebrities in attendance, a charity auction, bottle service tables along the water front, and a three-hour open bar.  This was a complimentary party for our guests with the exception of donations collected for our organizations.

I personally would love to thank our FABULOUS sponsors: Diageo, The Body Airbrush Co & Spa, Thorsen Handbags, The Studio CL, Schaffer Sound Productions and Carmelita Couture!  I can’t wait to work with you all again!!

Dava Pharmacy May 9, 2010

Filed under: Clients — Jessica Scott @ 11:09 PM

The coolest little Pharmacy opened up in East Lansdowne, PA.  I was just hired last month to create some  marketing materials for them.  Not only do I work for them, but I am also a customer.  My kitty cat has asthma (I know, it’s crazy) but Dava did some drug compounding for me making my cat’s medicine into a liquid so I can simply add it to his food.  No lie when I say this, my kitty’s asthma is com-plete-ly gone.  I am one happy camper these days as I no longer have to chase him down to shove a pill down his throat.  I swear he smiles more too (wink wink).

These guys are going places.  And I mean literally since they’re about to open up another Pharmacy in Northeast Philadelphia within the next few months.

Check out the outside and inside of the brochure we just created for them.  This will be mailed out to 5,000 residential homes within a certain mile radius.  Thank you to the BEST Graphic Designer a girl could ask for!

Bleu Martini April 14, 2010

Filed under: Clients — Jessica Scott @ 11:59 AM

I began a new Marketing contract with Bleu Martini located in Olde City, Philadelphia back in January of this year.  They contracted me for some time to help bring some fresh ideas to their door while helping to generate more sales to help increase their overall revenue.

Bleu has been AMAZING to work with.  The entire staff there is pleasant, appreciative, and open to new ideas and suggestions – no wonder they’ve been in business for 15 years!!  They’ve updated their menu and have created some delicious dishes.  I have to say though my favorite is the Sushi.  I know, I know, I wasn’t a believer at first either.  I really didn’t think ANYONE could make decent Sushi if they’re not classified as a Sushi restaurant.  Bleu proved me wrong (good thing!).

One thing I worked on with these guys is to clean up and enhance some of their weekly specials.  The slideshow below shows some examples of what I’ve worked on with my FAVORITE Graphic Designer.  You will see “before” and “after” shots of these flyers.

So to sum all of this up…there is some great stuff happening at Bleu!  Go see them today and take advantage of these AWESOME specials!  I know I will.

PhillyIn.com Launch Party at G Lounge – Thursday, Feb 18, 2010 February 20, 2010

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 3:47 AM

I was honored to be asked to help plan and coordinate the launch party for the hottest new company in Philadelphia, “PhillyIn.com.”  I worked with Justin Rentzel, Chris Phillips, Kate Beaver and Amber-Joi Watkins.  They were so much fun to work along side of and just a breath of fresh air to this great city of ours.  These four have an amazing concept and there is no doubt in my mind that this new company will be a HUGE success!  Congratulations to the four of them… I know they’re going to do great things!

“Fashion in Public: Winter Edition” at Public House – Wednesday, January 27, 2010 January 30, 2010

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 4:41 AM

“Fashion in Public” made yet another FANTASTIC appearance!  This time I went to them with the idea of changing it up a bit and making it more like “Macy’s Day Parade” inside of Public House.  My thought was to make the invitation and flyer look more like the cover of a magazine with an “Editorial Page” as the back (below are photos).  So Alexis and I pulled our resources together, worked with Shannon Kennedy of Public House, and locked down the event.  It was a HUGE success!  We had amazing models on the runway, courtesy of JS Models, as well as Celebrity Guest Models like Jaime Maggio, Comcast Sportsnet Reporter; Mike Jerrick, Good Day Philadelphia Anchor; Thomas Drayton, Fox 29 News Anchor; and Arthur Kade of arthurkade.com.  There were two models posing as changing mannequins (courtesy of JS Models, LLC.) and 2 Celebrity Guest Appearances by Marshall Harris, Comcast Sportsnet Anchor and John Gonzalez, Philadelphia Inquirer Sports Columnist.

I have to say that Public House has always been one of my favorite companies to work with since they understand promotion and marketing.  They put so much effort into it and their staff and employees work just as hard as Alexis and I do at getting the word out there.  So many companies think that if you just put together an event then magically guests will appear.  Well Public House knows more than so many others that there is much more to the effort then just a good event.  If you don’t have the right people in place, then no one will come through the doors.

Thanks to everyone that made “Fashion in Public” another wonderful success!

“Fall into Fashion” at Caffe Aldo Lamberti on November 19, 2009 November 21, 2009

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 4:20 AM

Alexis and I teamed up with DiningOut Magazine once again to throw a fundraising event at Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill, NJ.  We had a great turnout even though there was a HUGE downpour and gusty winds that night (now I sound like Doug Kammerer!).  But all in all it was a great event and there was a beautiful display of fashion on the runway.

Tehen, Jan’s Boutique, and Lee Newman (all located in Cherry Hill) provided clothing for JS Models, while hair and makeup was provided by Bernard’s Salon in Marlton.  Everyone looked AMAZING!!

But I still have to say the best part about my job is when I can organaize an event like this while tying it to a good cause.  So we decided to help The Hearts and Smiles Foundation again – and if you haven’t yet checked out this organization, please do it soon.  They provide assistance to low-income families with special-needs children with a particular focus on the needs of siblings in those families.  Pretty interesting since we all want to help children in need, but sometimes we forget that the siblings of those children could use that attention as well.  Very, very cool!

Below are some photos from that night…

“Sagra Del Vino” at Positano Coast October 15, 2009 October 17, 2009

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 4:18 AM
Alexis Small and I started working more frequently with DiningOut Magazine to assist some of their clients’ event and marketing needs.  As a team we’ve joined together to create, brand, coordinate and publicize rather cool and interesting events all over the Philadelphia area.

“Sagra Del Vino” at Positano Coast took place back in October.  The goal was to showcase fall and winter fashions while enjoying a wine tasting and food sampling all in the name of raising funds and awareness for the Hearts & Smiles Foundation.

JS Models provided the models who conducted the Informal Modeling segment.  Positano Coast provided the Complimentary Hors D’ Oeuvres and one hour of Complimentary Wine Sampling.  (sidenote: If you haven’t checked out Positano Coast yet, go there ASAP!  It is one of my favorite restaurants in Philadelphia.)

“Fashion for a Fight” at Union Trust on August 25, 2009 August 27, 2009

Filed under: Events — Jessica Scott @ 6:49 AM

I had a wonderful opportunity to team up with Alexis Small PR and Anthony Conte of DiningOut Magazine to throw an AWESOME event at Union Trust Steakhouse helping to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Center of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  JS Models as well as local celebs such as Doug Kammerer, Erin Elmore, and Teddy Roosevelt modeled fall fashions from top local designers like South Moon Under, Jack & Jill, Paula Hian Paris and Platinum.

Check out these photos from the event…
